The Valley of Fear is the fourth novel by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and this novel also has the characters of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. The English Beach Magazine published the story in September 1914, and its book edition was published in London and New York in 1915.

Plot

The book contains two parts. First, it describes the main plot. And it takes place in 1888 in the English county of Sussex. While the second piece consists of a flashback to the year 1875, and it takes place in Pennsylvania, USA.
